Here it is. The new single from our favorite duo Holy Ghost! Originally written and preformed in 1983 by industrial metal band Ministry (during their early synthpop days), “I Wanted To Tell Her” is a high energy dance cover featuring none other than Nancy Whang (of LCD Soundsystem) and Juan Maclean. The single is now available as a free download via Green Label Sound. The video, based on the 80′s BMX movie “Rad”, will be released within the next few weeks.

Happy Halloween from Discotexas. The two label founders, Moullinex and Xinobi got together in the studio and after 8 hours of “singing, laughing, whistling, playing bass, guitar, wine bottles and hippie percussions” they came up with a delicious tune called “X Marks The Spot”. The single is out today, backed with remixes by Glimmers and Drop Out Orchestra. Check out the original version below and stream the whole thing here. Trick or treat?
Tracey Thorn cover of The xx’s “Night Time” finally seeing the light of day. Last summer The xx asked Tracey Thorn and her long-time partner in Everything But the Girl, Ben Watt to record a track from their 2009 self-titled debut for a special compilation, but the project fell apart a few months later for numerous logistical reasons. This beautiful cover will appear on Tracey Thorn’s new EP called “Night Time”, which drops digitally on October 31 via Ben Watt’s Strange Feeling Records. The release also features new remixes of “Swimming” from “Love And Its Opposite” by Visionquest and Charles Webster.
