Jordan Koplowitz and Reed Juenger met in summer 2008 in that first youthful flush of “hey wait, I don’t live with my parents anymore…” and began making some late-summer-appropriate house beats in Garageband. Now the Seattle-based duo Beat Connection are set to release their 8-track debut mini-album, “Surf Noir”, on April 11th via Moshi Moshi’s sub-label Tender Age. It is sometimes pop music, sometimes dance music and entirely electronic. Their first brilliant single “Silver Screen” (watch the video here) will be featured on the forthcoming Kitsuné Maison compilation “The Indie-Dance Issue”.
