A year ago a new band called So I’m Jo from Sydney, Australia stopped in our station and left us two nice deep-electro disco tunes. Since then, the duo (Damon Cameron & Glen Cassidy) continued making music with keyboards, guitars, computers and things they buy off ebay. Here’s their new track ‘Air’ for you. Xavier Bacash & Lionel Towers are Gypsy & The Cat. A year ago they began making dreampop tunes in a garage in Melbourne. Now, Gypsy & The Cat moved to London and are currently mixing their debut album with David Fridmann (MGMT, Flaming Lips, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah) and Rich Costey (Muse, Mew, Franz Ferdinand, Glasvegas), due out later this year. Until then, here’s their debut single ‘Time to Wander’, out on June 21 via Young and Lost (pre-order here) , for your listening pleasure.

Juho and Tomi is Villa Nah
The synth-pop duo take their name from the east Helsinki suburds where they grew up.
They described their sound as ‘music about dreams and time’.
They debut album ‘Origin’ is co-produced with Jori Hulkkonen.
Villa Nah is our new fave Gasolini.

Malachai is a duo from Bristol. They aren’t part of a scene, but they reflect the Bristol vibe these days: dubstep running through their bones, hip hop in their fingers, and ‘60s psychedelia in their hearts. It’s only right, then, that Portishead mastermind Geoff Barrow has a thumb in this project. Barrow’s a kind of a mentor for Malachai and released the album on his own Invada imprint. “There’s no Bristol ‘scene’ as such but there’s a lot of people making music here so heads know to produce something unique”, says Gee. “In this industry, you’re supposed to choose your weapon and keep in your lane, but the last thing I want to do is repeat myself”. Καλά κρυμμένο μυστικό της dance σκηνής του Σίδνεϊ, οι Softwar, φτάνουν στο πρατήριο μας ως το επόμενο “καυτό” gasolini που φαίνεται πως θα απασχολήσει τους επόμενους μήνες του 2010. Κολλητοί των Holy Ghost!, Aeroplane και Classixx (δεν έχουμε καλύτερο) έχουν ήδη μιξάρει το “Paper Romance” των Groove Armada (δεν το λες κακό), ενώ το πρώτο original κομμάτι τους με τίτλο “Colour Flight’ θα κάνει ντεμπούτο στη νέα συλλογή “Gildas & Masaya Tokyo” της Kitsune. Το νέο disco remix που έκαναν για το ”Undercover Martyn” των Two Door Cinema Club μας κέρδισε αμέσως. Ετσι κι εμείς, τους  φουλάρουμε με τζάμπα βενζίνη μέχρι να σκάσει το επόμενο. Κατά τ’ άλλα Γκράμι-σε τα!

Memoryhouse is an Ontario, Canada bedroom recording project of a neo-classical composer and a photographer (Evan Abeele and Denise Nouvion). The name “Memoryhouse” is itself, a tribute to German composer Max Richter’s seminal work and the project was originally a means to escape the paralysis of winter. Their music is really wonderful. A mix of ambient loops, breezy samples, aquatic guitars, and burbling synths. If you like Washed Out or Toro Y Moi, then you’ll really love them. Time to escape…

Meet Barretso: Νέο “καυτό” gasolini μας προέκυψε από την Χιλή και μέχρι να πεις το όνομα του έχει γεμίσει το στόμα σου. Από καπνό! Αυτόν που αφήνει πίσω του το κίτρινο ’80s αμάξι του Barretso που τρέχει με χίλια, φρενάρει απότομα και περνάει από δίπλα σου χωρίς να σε ακουμπήσει. Θα μπορούσε να είναι απόκτημα της Γαλλικής και αγαπημένης εταιρίας Valerie, αν είχε καταφέρει να τον πιάσει! Αυτό σημαίνει να οδηγείς και να παίζεις ταυτόχρονα synths.
