London-based production duo Snakehips are back in action with their effortlessly smooth new single “Gone”, which finds them teaming up with vocalist Syd “The Kyd” of neo-soul outfit The Internet. With this tune, the duo of Oliver Lee and James Carter seems to have no trouble keeping their momentum up after last year’s much played single “Days With You”, featuring Disclosure and Rudimental vocalist Sinead Harnett, and “Forever”.
The single “Gone” is the first taste from the duo’s forthcoming new EP, entitled “Forever (Pt. II)”, which will drop on March 9 via their own label Hoffman West, named after a fictional character Ollie created to get in to clubs for free. Snakehips’ as-yet-untitled debut album is expected to see a release later this year. Bring it on!
