Melbourne-based dance producer Rohan Newman, aka Roland Tings, who has wowed us with last year’s self-titled debut album on Prins Thomas’ acclaimed label Internasjonal, makes a welcome return with his great new single “Eyes Closed”. The six-minute track, which marks his debut release on Cascine, is a sun-drenched, euphoric house affair. It’s taken from his forthcoming new EP, which is expected to arrive early next year.
Following years living in Melbourne, Tings’ escaped to a house on NSW’s Central Coast to write “Eyes Closed”, about which he says: “I wanted to make something that sounded like total release, coming out of a dark place into somewhere filled with light.”
