Róisín Murphy: “Gone Fishing”

Róisín Murphy: “Gone Fishing”

It’s been a long time coming, but Irish dance-pop queen Róisín Murphy is finally back with a new solo album, entitled “Hairless Toys”, her first record in eight years, since the release of the much-adored “Overpowered” in 2007. The first taste of “Hairless Toys” comes in the form of “Gone Fishing”, the album’s six-minute opening track, which was inspired by the iconic 1990 documentary “Paris Is Burning”. The eight-track album will arrive on May 11 through Play It Again Sam and follows last year’s “Mi Senti” EP, a collection of classic Italian pop songs on The Vinyl Factory, and her recent collaborations with Hot Natured, Freeform Five and Luca C & Brigante. Welcome back, Róisín.
