Nils Frahm: “Solo”

Nils Frahm: “Solo”

“Why does the world need a Piano Day? For many reasons. But mostly, because it doesn’t hurt to celebrate the piano and everything around it: performers, composers, piano builders, tuners, movers and most important, the listener.” German pianist and composer Nils Frahm has declared March 29th the world’s first “Piano Day” and celebrates this special occasion by giving away his new album called “Solo” for free download. The eight-track record was performed on the current tallest piano in the world, “The Giant” build by David Klavins. The height allows for very tall strings which create a very unique sounding piano. Grab it for free below, and give the wonderful track “Wall” a spin above. Happy Piano Day everyone!

Download the album “Solo” for free here. All proceeds from the album’s sales go to help piano builder David Klavins finish his latest model, Klavins M450.
