New Jackson: “Having A Coke With You”

New Jackson: “Having A Coke With You”

Irish musician/producer David Kitt, aka New Jackson, is someone we’ve been following for a good while now. With a handful of top-notch releases for John Talabot’s label Hivern Discs, Major Problems, and Permanent Vacation, not to mention his remixes for The xx and Mano Le Tough, New Jackson has proven himself capable of delivering quality tracks. The last time we heard from him was back in March, when he released a great four-track EP “Made It Mine”, his debut release for one of Munich’s finest labels Permanent Vacation.

Now, he’s back to the same label with his second EP of the year, a three-track offering called “Having A Coke With You”. Inspired by the Frank O’Hara poem of the same name, the EPs title track is a gorgeous Balearic-tinged house tune that clocks in at over 10-minutes. It’s effortlessly smooth, mellow, and dreamy. Pure class! You can also hear Frank O´Hara himself reading his poem “Having A Coke With You”. Give it a spin above, and drift away.

New Jackson’s “Having A Coke With You” EP is out now on vinyl on Permanent Vacation.
