Larry Gus: “The Night Patrols (A Man Asleep)”

Let’s take a ride with our friend Larry Gus. After releasing a free album “Silent Congas” last year, the up-and-coming Greek-born, Milan-based producer and singer Panagiotis Melidis, aka Larry Gus (Greek for “larynx”), is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming album, entitled “Years Not Living”, on DFA.

The LP, which was inspired by Georges Perec’s 1978 book “Life: A User’s Manual” and Lucio Battisti’s 1974 album “Anima Latina”, will arrive on August 19th. Today, we’re treated to the album’s great first single “The Night Patrols (A Man Asleep)” that showcases his ability to combine different sounds, creating something uniquely his own.

Give it a spin above, and pre-order the limited-edition vinyl here.
