Junior Boys: “Big Black Coat”

Junior Boys, the Canadian electronic pop duo of Jeremy Greenspan and Matt Didemus, are back with their new album “Big Black Coat”, their first since 2011’s “It’s All True” LP. Fusing disco and soul with the industrial pop and techno of Greenspan’s formative teens, the new 11-track record also features their recently released cover of Bobby Caldwell’s 1978 classic soul track “What You Won’t Do For Love”. You can now stream the album’s title track, a seven-minute tune inspired by Yellow Magic Orchestra and Plastikman.

“The fact that we haven’t put out an album in a long time has been liberating, in that we haven’t been so phenomenally successful that everyone knows who we are. With this album, a lot of people will be hearing us for the first time. There’s a freedom that comes from that,” says Jeremy Greenspan.

Junior Boys’ new album “Big Black Coat” will drop on February 5, 2016 via City Slang.
