Last month, Oxford’s four-piece Glass Animals dropped their debut album “Zaba”, a fine collection of smooth, sultry electronic pop tunes, and quickly follow it up with a strong remix EP for one of the record’s standout tracks, “Pools”. Here, we have a delightfully seven-minute remix of “Pools” from our beloved German producer/singer Marius Lauber, aka Roosevelt. On his summer-soaked remix, Roosevelt injects the original song with a healthy dose of extra warmth and sunshine and all-around disco-tinged vibes.
The five-track “Pools” EP is out now digitally on Paul Epworth’s label Wolf Tone. The release also features two remixes of “Pools” by Jackson & His Computer Band and Kwes, as well as Glass Animal’s version on Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown”. Get it here.
