GL: “Number One”

Melbourne’s cosmic-funk revivalists GL, the duo of Graeme Pogson and Ella Thompson, first wowed us last year with their superb self-titled debut EP on Plastic World, which was followed by a limited-edition cassette release, titled “Love Hexagon”, a few months later. After quite a wait, GL are back with their delicious new single “Number One”, which finds the pair delivering a funky synth-pop tune full of vintage drum machine grooves. The track is the first taste from GL’s forthcoming debut album, slated for release early next year.
