Favored Nations: “Blame Game”

Favored Nations: “Blame Game”

Let us introduce you to Favored Nations, a new three-piece band consisting of hard-working Adelaide-based house producer James Curd and Los Angeles-based singer Morgan Phalen, who has also worked with Justice and Phenomenal Handclap Band. The third bandmate is the talented multi-instrumentalist Surahn Sidhu, former bassist of The Swiss, who also plays bass and guitar for Empire Of The Sun.

Favored Nations, a name that is a reference to the international interconnectedness of their lives, have recently shared their delightfully first single “Blame Game” just in time for evening summer rides. It’s a mellow slice of sun-kissed pop and is already a favorite.

“Blame Game” is the first taste from the band’s debut three-track EP of the same name that blends warm vocal melodies, bouncy baselines, disco-tinged guitar lines, and playful synth work. The EP arrives on July 12th via etcetc. You can pre-order your copy here.
