Sweden’s popduo Club 8 has travelled to Brazil for inspiration, bought records made in the 70’s in Western Africa, used a percussion player from Cuba and hooked up with Jari Haapalainen who to this date has produced the likes of Camera Obscura and The Concretes. The result is their new album ‘The People’s Record’, due on May 12 via Labrador and sounds quite different. Now you can have your first taste of ‘The People’s Record’, in the form of ‘Western Hospitality’. Don’t forget your maracas! Check it out!
