Freshly signed to Ninja Tune, Bicep, the Belfast-born, London-based duo of Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson, will finally drop their self-titled debut album in September. Our first taste from the record comes in the form of “Aura”, a “complex and propulsive club track that channels their love for all things synth related.” Until now, “Aura” has simply been tagged as “unreleased Bicep” on countless bootleg recordings from recent gigs with thousands of streams, uploaded by fans trying desperately to ID and get their hands on the track. “It was a happy experiment… you might call it an accident,” they explain. Blast it above.

The debut album “Bicep” drops September 1 via Ninja Tune. Pre-order it here.

The last time we heard from veterans In Flagranti, the Swiss duo of Sasha Crnobrnja and Alex Gloor, was back in April, when they dropped their excellent fifth album “Sprezzatura”, a mind-bending record influenced by the mixtapes of their youth. Now, they’re already back with a new EP, entitled “Camelwalk”, which features Italian DJ/producer/musician DJ Rocca playing flute. Also known as one half of Erodiscotheque alongside disco superstar Dimitri From Paris, DJ Rocca has been consistently prolific over the years, but a little known fact that he’s a great musician too, especially on the flute. This new track “Camelwalk” by In Flagranti is proof of that. A finely crafted flute-driven disco burner.

The EP comes complete with two remixes by Mexican producer Inigo Vontier and Spain’s finest Rayko, and a bonus beat version. Today, we’re psyched to premiere the great remix of “Camelwalk” by Spanish producer extraordinaire Rayko. On his “Spiritual Wiri” version, Rayko delivers a classy remix. You can now stream it exclusively on La.Ga.Sta.

In Flagranti’s “Camelwalk” EP arrives in both vinyl and digital formats on June 30th on their own Codek imprint. Pre-order your 12” here.

German producer Marco Niemerski, aka Tensnake, has started a new side-project with frequent vocal collaborator Fiora and producer Lester Mendez called Gemini Rising. The trio met in LA and felt instant chemistry, bonding over their love for ’80s synth pop. Over a 12 month period split between Berlin and Los Angeles they created a full album that can be best described as retro-futuristic pop music. The emotive synth-pop songwriting combined with an updated production vision on ’80s new wave reminds you of something familiar while introducing you to something infectious and fresh at the same time. Their debut self-titled EP, a four-tracker of analogue synth goodness, is the perfect introduction to Gemini Rising’s style. Stream the whole thing above.
