And he’s back! John Talabot, Barcelona’s maestro of trippy, ambient and sun-drenched house, returns to Permanent Vacation with his sublime new track “Voices”, which marks his first solo release of the year. The seven-minute track comes backed with a “Version Conga” remix from Running Back’s head honcho Gerd Janson. The track first appeared in an older “Fabric” edit version on Janson’s mix for Fabric, the 89th edition in the club’s long running series, released back in August. Give “Voices” a spin above, and enjoy the ride.

The two-track “Voices” 12-inch is out on December 2 via Permanent Vacation. Get it here.

LA-born, now Berlin-based producer Taylor Freels, better known as Urulu, is getting ready to drop his debut EP for Cascine, one of our favorite labels, a well-crafted four-tracker called “Air Pacific” that features some of his most affable material to date. We’ve already heard the EPs title track, and now we’re delighted to premiere one of the record’s finest moments. Let’s take a ride with the EPs opening track “Cinnamon Boys”, a superb house tune that chugs its way along a spacious 4/4 to unfold into a stylish collage of synths parts and skittering keys. We’d expect nothing less from Urulu. You can now stream the “Destiny Mix” of “Cinnamon Boys” exclusively on La.Ga.Sta.

The “Air Pacific” EP will drop on December 9th via Cascine. Pre-order it here.

Fresh off the release of their third album “Woman”, French electronic duo Justice – Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé – have shared the Susan Sarandon-starring video for their new single “Fire”, one of the record’s standout tracks.

Director of the video, Pascal Teixera, says: “On a hot summer afternoon, Gaspard and I are in Xavier’s kitchen, collectively daydreaming about washing a car. The year we like for car design, the make, where that could take place, how much soap, the mood, the sun, and there should be a woman to go cruising with, an iconic mix of cool, allure and strength – Susan Sarandon of course! And then a couple months later we’re in the desert, with the car and a lot of soap, and by some weird miracle there she is, even more amazing than we had fantasised her to be, ready to go for a drive.”

Justice’s album “Woman” is out now on Ed Banger Records. Get it here.

We are thrilled to welcome the mighty German producer and Tuff City Kids member Lauer for our next La.Ga.Sta. party at our favorite hangout Dalston Superstore. Joining him on December 2 is a lineup of friends and amazing humans: Princess Julia, Dance Armstrong & Chaka Khan’t (Disco Spritz), Wes Baggaley and your hosts for the night A Man To Pet and Lucy Fizz. It’s gonna be a great event, a ride not to be missed.

Frankfurt-based DJ/producer/musician Phillip Lauer is someone we’ve been following for a long, long time. He performs as Lauer and also as one part in the duos Arto Mwambe and Tuff City Kids alongside with Running Back’s head honcho Gerd Janson. Raised on a strict diet of hip hop & punk rock, Philipp finally succumbed to the pleasures of electronic music in the late nineties when he started to produce deep house tracks. His excellent debut solo album “Phillips” was released back in 2012 on Running Back, followed by “Borndom” in 2015 on Permanent Vacation. This year saw Mr. Melody dropping two great EPs, “Birsk”/”Kilian” on Futureboogie and “Tearsh” on Live At Robert Johnson, and more recently Tuff City Kids’ debut album “Adoldesscent” on Permanent Vacation. We’d expect nothing but quality from Lauer.
