Jonas Rathsman & Isaac Tichauer: “Rush Hour”

Swedish producer Jonas Rathsman has teamed up with long time friend Isaac Tichauer to deliver a superb house groover “Rush Hour”, an exclusive track for Sweden’s Trunkfunk Records “15 Years of Trunkfunk” anniversary compilation. Speaking about the collaborative tune, Australian producer Isaac Tichauer says: “‘Rush Hour’ is a bit of an electronic journey to say the least, with everything from heavily distorted analogue hardware through to sampled choirs. From a fairly dark starting position it evolves and closes with a feeling of celebration.” As heard in Rathsman’s “Essential Mix”, “Rush Hour” is now yours for free.

Download it here via Mixmag.

The “15 Years of Trunkfunk” compilation drops on December 28th. Pre-order it here.

NYC-via-Sydney producer/DJ Ash Moses, better known as Tunnel Signs, recently wowed us with his new “Broken Earth” EP, his third release on Justin Miller’s ever-excellent HAKT Recordings. True to form, Tunnel Signs has delivered yet another quality record with two original tracks and a remix from Nottingham-based producer Emile Strunz.

Today, we’re psyched to share with all of you a previously unreleased track from Tunnel Signs, and it’s a great one. Entitled “Milk Beach”, the track is a collaboration with Patrick Harrowsmith of rising Australian indie band Green Buzzard recorded during his extended Sydney vacation. “It was mixed by Chris Colonna, aka Magic Pirate of The Bumblebeez, and features voicemail vocals from Sarah Maggie Ibrahim,” says Tunnel Signs. Filled with dusty, sun-drenched melodies, percussions, and bouncing basslines, the guitar-driven “Milk Beach” is quite a different offering from the prolific producer. This one perfectly captures the feeling after a long day at the beach. What a ride.

Grab a free download of “Milk Beach”, exclusively on La.Ga.Sta, and make sure to check out Tunnel Signs’ sublime tune “Sylvan Mist” full of cosmic melodies and techno rhythms, our favorite cut from his “Broken Earth” EP on HAKT Recordings. Buy the EP here.

We fell in love with Loframes earlier this year when they dropped their debut single “Get Real (Can’t Touch Your Love)”, an addictive ’80s-infused tune. Following on from their quality remixes for Black Devil Disco Club and David Harks, the rising duo of London singer/songwriter James Yuill and French producer and On The Fruit label owner Franck Russo return to our station for more synth-pop goodness. Today we’re delighted to premiere the pair’s new single “In Love With You”, which is a cover version of the classic track of the same name by The Paradise, a collaboration between veteran French DJ/producer Alan Braxe and Romauld.

Approved by Alan Braxe himself, Loframes’ sax-driven cover of “In Love With You” is well-crafted and totally uplifting. It’s the kind of stuff that works brilliantly on a dancefloor. This one will get some serious rotations on our car stereo this winter. You can now grab a free download of “In Love With You”, exclusively on La.Ga.Sta. What’s not to love?

We’ve been following Amsterdam-based house duo Homework for a long, long time, so it’s really sad to hear that Tom Waist and Zip Stolk have decided to call it quits. In their own words: “After ten amazing years together we have decided to stop. As of next year Homework will be no more. It’s been one heck of a rollercoaster with releases on some top labels, shows in awesome clubs like Berghain/PanoramaBar, ageHa, Studio 80, Le Bain at The Standard, High Line, just to name a few.”

As a thanks to all their fans for their support, Homework will drop a free-to-download two-track EP called “The Farewell” of previously unreleased material. Here’s the superb track “The Goodbye” for your downloading pleasure. Goodbye Homework.
