Mirror People: “Dance The Night Away” (feat. Hard Ton)

We can’t think of a better way to kick off the week than with Mirror People’s debut album “Voyager”, which is now available for free download. The nine-track record, which was written during the past two years in his hometown Lisbon, features plenty of collaborations, including Adelaide-based producer James Curd, who is also part of the Australian trio Favored Nations, Rowetta (of Happy Mondays fame), Hard Ton, Maria do Rosário, and more. It also includes two previously released singles, “Nothing To Give” and “Come Over”, both featuring the lovely vocals from Iwona Skwarek of Polish synth-pop duo Rebeka.

A deliciously groovy, funky and upbeat collection of well-crafted tunes, “Voyager” finds Portuguese producer/DJ Rui Maia offering us a joyful disco ride to remember. Grab the whole thing below, and make sure to check out the Hard Ton-featuring track “Dance The Night Away”, one of the record’s highlights, above.

After dropping “Ghetto Heaven” earlier this month, London disco don and one half of Du Tonc Mighty Mouse is already back with yet another quality club tune, called “Wunder”, as part of his new series of free tracks made specially for DJ sets. Spanning just over six minutes, “Wunder” is an infectious slice of disco-flavored house, driven by feel-good piano melodies, funky guitar licks and orchestral strings. That’s the way we like it.

“This track was centred around the strings initially, I was actually making something more laid back for earlier parts of my set, so not sure how I ended up with this, but it’s a track to bring a smile to your face, when the dance floor is looking a bit angry,” he says. Grab it for free below and ride with us.
