Summer is officially here! It’s been nearly a year since Los Angeles-based Poolside, the “daytime disco” duo of Filip Nikolic and Jeffrey Paradise, released their superb debut album “Pacific Standard Time”. Now, they’re back with a brand new track, called “If We Make It”, which comes as part of Scion’s free 10th anniversary compilation. A laid-back disco jam that feels perfect for a long, hot summer day in the city.

Poolside are putting the finishing touches on the material for their upcoming second album, which is going to be released later this year. “If We Make It” is the record’s first single. That’s a pretty good reason to be excited. In the meantime, you can grab “If We Make It” for free below. Already featured on our latest radio show “OFF The Road #57″.

Let’s take a ride with Night Drive, the new project of Rodney Connell (of MoTel Aviv) and Brandon Duhon (of Glasnost). The duo have just dropped the first single “Drones”, an addictive electro-pop jam for your car stereo. Even better, the single comes with a fantastic remix by Brooklyn’s producer Bit Funk, who never fails to impress. It doesn’t get any better than this.

CFCF: “Camera”

Montreal-based musician and producer Michael Silver, better known as CFCF, returns with a new eight-track EP, called “Music For Objects”, next month. “The record acts as a companion piece to my previous EP “Exercises” with a more playful, micro view of the ephemera that shapes our daily lives,” says CFCF. In the meantime, you can grab the EP’s lead single “Camera”, featuring the saxophone talents of Francesco de Gallo, for free below.

Different Marks: “Lavender Lady” (feat. Paul Randolph)

Polish house duo Catz N’ Dogz, Grzegorz Demiañczuk and Voitek Tarañczuk, dropped today their superb collaborative album with the late great Martin Dawson (of King Roc fame) under the moniker Different Mark. As we read, the three connected instantly from their first studio session, and finished recording this album shortly before Martin Dawson’s tragic death on November 12th last year.

The 11-track album “Untitled”, which features guest appearances from Ben Westbeech, James Yuill, Glimpse and Cari Golden amongst others, is now available for free download. Stream the fantastic lead single “Lavender Lady”, featuring Paul Randolph, above, and grab the whole thing for free here.

Northern Ireland’s indie darlings Two Door Cinema Club recently offered up a new remix EP for free download. It features three reworks of their tracks “Sleep Alone” and “Sun”, taken from last year’s second album “Beacon”, by the likes of Rocco Raimundo, Swiss duo Mercury and Adelaide’s producer Late Nite Tuff Guy.

Today we share with you Rocco Raimundo’s superb remix of Two Door Cinema Club’s “Sleep Alone”, a sunny and laid-back disco rework with some serious vibes. We love it.
