Anita Baker: “Caught Up In The Rapture (Pixelated Anita On Acid Re-Edit)”

Operating in a cloud of mystery, New York-based duo Pixelated have already wowed us with their quality disco-filled remixes for Poolside, Jim James and Sam Sparro. The last time we heard from them was last summer, when they dropped a sun-soaked, Nina Simone-sampling track called “Flying High” in collaboration with Los Angeles producer Falcon Punch. Now, Pixelated return to our station with this acid-tinged disco re-edit of Anita Baker’s 1986 classic “Caught Up In The Rapture”, and it’s a great one. This “Anita On Acid” rework will get some serious rotations this winter. Blast it above.

The edit of “Caught Up In The Rapture” is taken from the “Disco Meze” 12”, which also includes three delicious reworks by the likes of VinylAddicted & Jean Claude Gavri, Alkalino, and Silver Rider. The EP is out now on Sleazy McQueen’s label Whiskey Disco.
