Meet Jon Hopkins: a composer, pianist and self-taught studio wizard, who is set to release his third album, “Insides”, on May. Insides is about juxtaposition: natural, arcane textures welded to pulsing, hypnotic rhythms, beautiful acoustic melodies set against jarring bass. Above all, Insides is an audacious album which boasts a magical aura all of its own. The album will be preceeded by a single, “Light Through The Veins”, an epic work of classic, propulsive electronica on 27th April 2009. This will feature remixes from Ewan Pearson and David Holmes.

Μάθημα 1ο:Tον λένε James Yuill και κυκλοφορεί με ποδήλατο στο κέντρο του Λονδίνου. Μάθημα 2ο:Μη σας ξεγελά το proffesor στυλάκι, μουσικός είναι ο άνθρωπος που μικρός είχε μείνει 10 φορές στην ίδια τάξη. Μάθημα 3ο: Λατρεύει τον Nick Drake (όπως τόσοι άλλοι), τους Radiohead και είναι παθιασμένος με την electronica. Μάθημα 4ο: Φτάχνει μουσική με τα δάχτυλα του: κολλημένα στο laptop και στην κιθάρα του (δεν τα αποχωρίζεται ούτε όταν πέφτει για νάνι). Μάθημα 5ο: To ντεμπούτο του “Turning Down Water For Air” μπορεί να σε κάνει να χορέψεις και να κλάψεις την ίδια στιγμή. Μάθημα 6ο: Είναι τόσο sweet που αν ήταν available μπορεί και να τα ‘φτιαχνα μαζί του (λέμε τώρα). Μάθημα 7ο: Δεν έχει άλλα, χαλάρωσε και άκου…Να δεις που θα σ’ αρέσει…
